PROCEDURE - Recording Options |
1. Personal input, digitised and uploaded:
This uses your personal device that you may use to record phone conversations, conferences, notes on a patient, damage to a building or whatever your needs might be.
Your device is then connected to your computer or phone (see below for details of our phone service) and sent to our website or server using user-friendly http or ftp technology.
After registration we can take you through the easy-to-use methods of transferring files to us. Alternatively, please contact us.
2. ScribeDigital application + PC mic:
This is our custom-developed software for use on your PC to record, send for transcribing, and save your dictation. Easy-to-use icons let you manage your files. There is also a detailed help file bundled with the software, and our development guys are available any time in case of problems.
The whole process is done over the internet from your desktop or laptop.
After installing the software the ScribeDigital icon is shown on your screen. By simply double-clicking the icon the control panel appears for you to start your dictation. When finished, simply ensure you have an internet connection and click on 'send'. The dictation is automatically sent to our FTP server for transcription.
The dictation stays on your PC - through the control panel you can listen to it again or delete as you wish.
The dictation is then used by our transcription team to start the work then QA'd twice before the final transcript is sent to a client-defined location. This could be an email address or our server, for you to pull off at your convenience.

3. Via your mobile or landline phone:
After registration we can offer you UK or USA phone number to ring, where once connected through an ID number you can dictate and the dictation is automatically transferred to our website.
4. Physical tape:
For our media clients we transcribe their audio tapes with or without screen shots and with or without time stamps. This does require an investment by the client in buying kit to digitise the tapes. We do not offer to do the digitisation in India as it would mean physically shipping the tapes here, and that adds to the costs and also threatens security over the content.
